Ruma Bose is cofounder and Managing Partner at Humanitarian Ventures.

Humanitarian Ventures, a venture capital fund investing in high growth technology companies with potential to have impact in the humanitarian sector.

Previously, Ruma was President of Chobani Ventures and Chobani Foundation, supporting organizations and entrepreneurs with a mission to make better food for more people. She was also President of Tent Foundation, which she established as one of the leading foundations working to end the global refugee crisis. Ruma has held several executive positions, from President and co-CEO at Sprayology, President of Vincent Longo, Senior Director of Roseworth Capital and cofounder of Finishline Floors (sold in 2005.)

Ruma co-authored the international bestselling book, “Mother Teresa, CEO” which was translated into eight languages.

In June 2017, Ruma cofounded and launched the Canadian Entrepreneurship Initiative to help improve the state of entrepreneurship in Canada. She authored their flagship report Entrepreneurship: Canada’s Golden Opportunity.

Ruma sits on the governing board of Calvert Impact Capital. She is an advisor to the Soros Economic Development Fund and sits on the advisory boards of (NYSE:CRCM), Teralys Capital, Clearbanc and the Refugee Investment Network.

She is a member of the Young President’s Organization, on the Global Entrepreneurs’ Council of the United Nations Foundation and the Governor General of Canada’s Innovation Advisory Council.
